" The therapists at Live Well Physical Therapy in Fair Haven believe the best type of patient care is one-on-one, and they honor that creed with every patient that they treat."
" Live Well Physical Therapy can truly be thought of as an all encompassing wellness center."
“We work with our patients for their entire treatment session.” “We do not use aides or assistants to help increase our volume.” “We stress quality not quantity.” “Consistency and establishing a rapport with our patients is important, especially if they are in pain,” he said. “You know how far you can push a patient because you learn their threshold.” “You must gain a patient’s confidence and trust in order to be successful.” Our facility offers care to a variety of patients, including post-operative, orthopedic and post-stroke patients. We also treat patients with neurological difficulties as well. A variety of sports injuries are also treated, as are patients with arthritis, low back and neck pain, hip and knee injuries and those with balance problems. In addition, Live Well offers monthly gym memberships as well as Pilates and Tai Chi classes. The first step to physical therapy at Live Well is a comprehensive patient evaluation, which takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Patients are scheduled for this initial evaluation within 24-48 hours of their first phone call. After this, the therapist will create a treatment plan for each patient based on his or her specific needs.
Welcome to the Live Well Physical Therapy Website.
Our facility, which opened in 2006, is operated by partners Christine “Livy” Livingston, John Zappala and Heather Zappala. Live Well offers something that not every office offers…that is receiving treatment by the same physical therapist for every visit. This is critical for a good therapist-patient relationship.
Our therapists treat patients of all different ages, from children to seniors. Many elderly patients have difficulty with their balance, which can lead to falling. The therapist at Live Well can help by offering strength exercises and teach patients to shift their weight properly. Different exercises such as reaching out and standing on one leg are also used to help patients learn to self-correct or “right” themselves to restore their balance and prevent falling and injury.
