Christine “Livy” Livingston is in her 12th year of treating as a licensed physical therapist.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Miami University in 1995. She later received her Master degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in 1997.  She was initially employed at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute for 2 years with a rotating position through the outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation departments.  During this time she gained a lot of experience with orthopedic and vestibular patients.  The then worked at Hudson Physical Therapy for 4 years as a staff physical therapist and then as a clinic manager with treatment focusing mainly on orthopedic patients.  Livy was then employed at a local private outpatient practice for 2 years as a staff physical therapist specializing in outpatient orthopedics before opening Live Well Physical Therapy.  She is certified as a Tai Chi from the Arthritis Foundation Leader as well as an Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program Leader.  Livy also currently teaches Pilates classes for all levels.  She does volunteer work with the American Cancer Society focusing on the Road to Recovery Program and Relay for Life.  Livy has also completed 6 marathons and runs in many local races so she easily relates with injured runners.

John Zappala
is in his 8th year of treating as a licensed physical therapist.  He earned his Bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Delaware in 1997.  He later received his Master degree in Physical Therapy from UMDNJ/Rutgers in 2001.  His experience includes practicing in the homecare setting where he treated patients with various neurological diagnoses and help return them to their previous functional level.  

He has also been employed by two outpatient physical therapy offices before opening Live Well Physical Therapy.  The latter, a privately owned practice, for three years where he experienced all aspects of running a successfully owned physical therapy office.  John has had success treating various populations from geriatrics to competitive athletes.  He is currently pursuing a certification to be a certified strength and conditioning specialist and has created a strength and agility program for student athletes.

Heather Zappala is in her 8th year of treating as a licensed physical therapist.  She received her undergraduate degree in Corporate Fitness from the College of New Jersey in 1998.  She then went on to receive a Master degree in Physical Therapy from UMDNJ/Rutgers in 2001.  Following graduation, Heather accepted a rotating position at JFK Medical Center.  Over the next 3 years, she rotated through several departments including Brain Trauma, Acute Care, Outpatient, Day Rehabilitation and Pain Management.  During her time at JFK, she specialized in Neurological Rehabilitation and treated a wide variety of stroke patients.  She also gained a lot of experience with wounds and treating vestibular patients.  Her current experience focuses on post-operative orthopedic patients, including total hips and knees.
